Yes, we do have pears for the 2012 season at the stand for purchase. Right now we have Flemish Beauty and Spartlet Pears. We are not organic, but we are an ECO Apple Certified grower. Eco Apple farmers use an advanced IPM protocol for pest control that is specifically designed for apple production in the northeastern United States. Eco Apple producers choose the least toxic, minimal-impact methods based on what is best for the orchard ecosystem. You can read more about eco apples here – http://redtomato.org/ecoapple.php. Our Pears are $1.50 per pound. We have Bosc Pears coming a little later in the season.
